This is considered to be extremely bad luck by hardcore craps players, who tend to be quite superstitious. Also, though you've seen it in movies and on TV, don't kiss or blow on the dice. This is also frowned upon because of the potential to spread germs to the next shooter. Another thing about rolling the dice is that you should give them a pretty good toss, because, in order to be considered a true roll, they need to bounce off the far end of the table. When you're first learning craps, you'll notice how deep the table is, or how high the rim of the table is. And the inside edges have a sort of uneven foam surface on them so that when the dice bounce off it, it will help to randomize the outcome of the roll. Don't get too aggressive though; you don't want the dice ending up on the other side of the room!
